1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account or career document, including your name, email address, telephone number, location, photograph, employment history, education, skills, projects, referees, job targets and uploaded document content.
We may also record document progress, template selections, sign-in sessions, generation and download events, timestamps, basic technical logs and preferences needed to operate, secure and improve the service. Usage analytics do not include the text of your résumé or cover letter.
2. How we use information
- Authenticate your account and keep your workspace separate from other users.
- Create, edit, save and export résumés and cover letters requested by you.
- Restore your last completed step and show prior documents under My Tasks.
- Process payments, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures and provide support.
- Comply with applicable legal, accounting and security obligations.
We do not sell your résumé information or use it to invent qualifications, employment or achievements.
3. Service providers
SlenderCareer stores your profile, drafts and generated documents in a private workspace on this device; it does not use Firebase. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides a verified email address, account identifier and profile name to establish that local workspace. OpenAI processes relevant supplied content when you request AI generation. PesaPal processes checkout and payment confirmation. Hosting and infrastructure providers process technical data required to deliver the website. Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy obligations.
Payment card or M-Pesa credentials are entered with the payment provider; SlenderCareer stores payment status and references needed to unlock the purchased document, not full card details or mobile-money PINs.
4. Retention and deletion
Device-local drafts and documents remain in your browser until you clear site data or remove the workspace. Payment and transaction records may be kept for legal, fraud-prevention and accounting purposes.
You may request access, correction, export or deletion by emailing support@slendercareer.com. Some records may be retained where required by law or necessary to resolve disputes.
5. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to receive a portable copy of information. You may also withdraw optional consent, although this does not affect earlier lawful processing.
6. International processing and children
Providers may process data in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law. SlenderCareer is intended for people old enough to enter binding agreements in their jurisdiction and is not directed to children.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the service or law changes. Material revisions will be identified by a new update date. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to support@slendercareer.com.
